STEED HALE

Internationally recognized and highly acclaimed Interior Designer, Steed Hale’s career has spanned over 35 years.

 

In addition to Steed’s boutique design firm, Interior Design & Company Inc., his work as an editor/producer in the design field encompasses national publication of his work, including The New York Times Home Section (cover), Martha Stewart Living, L’Uomo Vogue, Metropolitan Home, New York Magazine, and Traditional Home.

 

Mr. Hale served as Editor-at-Large for Traditional Home Magazine for over 18 years.

 

As an editor/producer for Traditional Home and other national design magazines, Hale has produced and shot dozens of stylized stories on interior design and entertaining.
Mr. Hale has also designed both residential and commercial spaces for high profile clients, including the Tea Salon at the Guggenheim Museum Soho in New York City and an Ian Schrager/Steve Rubell hotel on St. Thomas Water Island, US Virgin Islands.

 

Before becoming a design editor, Hale created visuals for advertising the Dynasty Home Collection and styled photographs for American Express.
He has organized locations, signed on leading design houses to donate their product, and has worked on print campaigns with many celebrities, including:  Martha Stewart, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Walters, Mary Tyler Moore, Star Jones, Donna Hanover and Jane Seymour.
As a respected designer, editor, and producer Steed has also appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Fox News at Noon.

 

He has organized events for magazines such as Vanity Fair, Traditional Home and People magazine.

 

Hale has produced design events in some of New York’s most respected venues including the Piermont Morgan Library (featured on the cover of the New York Times Home section), as well as The Rainbow Room, Studio 54 in New York City, and the Guild Hall in East Hampton.

 

Hale has also organized and styled events in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Paris and Rome.
