Among Steeds many travels around the world he finds inspiration wherever he goes. This is a bar he came across in a hotel lobby in China. The graphic inlays and beautiful vertical wood grains caught his eye and upon his return he brought this aesthetic into a custom bar.

While working on a clients residence in Brooklyn, NY emerged Steeds bar design with strong influences from Steeds travels in Asia with a modern twist.

In the design process there is always a balance between the creative and the practical. The interior of the bar reflects the outside chrome inlay with a more subtle lighter wood. Glass shelving and mirrored back gives the bar the grandiose feel to match the magnitude of the rest of the home.
